Be SURE to include your web address within the Twitter social media profile description – and make is ‘clickable.’ MOST of your Followers are accessing Twitter from their mobile device, using a Twitter App. Most apps only show the description under your Twitter handle and name.
Place your web address at the beginning of the description, and make it “clickable” by using the full address starting with “http://” Let’s look at just how effective this is…
Below is an example, from an App I use called Followorks (great App by the way!). One Tweep has the web address in the description, one does not. Soooo, if I’m interested in what you’re tweeting about, in one of the examples below, I can easily go right to the Influencer’s website. In the other, I can not : (
Now, here is why you want to place it at the beginning of the description…In case the App has a “brief summary” feature.
In this case, of the Followorks App, the user can then tap their screen to view your full description.
Did you find this helpful in optimizing your social media management efforts?
Alright…Let’s Get To Work!
